MyBentox is a calorie tracking and meal planning app that uses camera-based food analysis, manual meal logging, profile-based calorie goals, water tracking, step tracking, reminders, recipes, and subscription features.
1. Information We Collect
1.1 Account and authentication information
We may collect and process email address, display name, authentication provider identifiers, anonymous user identifiers, Google Sign-In or Apple Sign-In account identifiers, and one-time verification code metadata for email verification.
MyBentox uses Firebase Authentication for anonymous, email, Google, Apple, and custom-token authentication flows.
1.2 Profile and goal information
During onboarding and app use, you may provide first name, last name, date of birth or age, gender, height, weight, target weight, nutrition goal, activity level, occupation type, exercise frequency, sleep information, motivation score, dietary preferences, allergies, intolerances, disliked foods, cultural or religious dietary restrictions, and profile photo.
1.3 Nutrition, meal, and activity information
We collect data you enter or generate in the app, including meal names, meal type, meal time, portions, calories, macronutrients, food analysis results, confidence score, ingredients, allergens, health tips, suggestions, meal photos, water intake logs, weight logs, streaks, achievements, dashboard progress data, recipe views, saved recipes, custom recipes, and step count data when you grant motion or activity permission.
1.4 Camera, photo, and media access
MyBentox requests camera access so you can take meal or profile photos. It may also request access to selected photos so you can upload existing meal or profile images. Images are used for the feature you selected, such as food analysis or profile display. Meal images may be uploaded to Firebase Storage when you confirm and save a meal.
1.5 Notifications and device information
If you enable notifications, we may process notification preferences, local reminder schedules, Expo push token, device platform, app version, and device name when registering push tokens. MyBentox uses notifications for meal reminders, water reminders, exercise reminders, daily summaries, achievements, and related app reminders.
1.6 Subscription information
MyBentox uses RevenueCat to manage premium subscriptions and entitlement status. RevenueCat may process purchase identifiers, subscription status, product identifiers, transaction metadata, and related app-user identifiers. MyBentox does not directly collect or store your full payment card details.
1.7 Technical and app metadata
We may process limited technical metadata needed to operate and secure the app, including Firebase user ID, app version, locale, timezone, authentication timestamps, Cloud Function request logs, and error or diagnostic logs generated by Firebase, Google Cloud, Expo, or the device operating system.
2. How We Use Information
We use collected information to create and manage your account, complete onboarding, calculate calorie and nutrition goals, save meals and progress, analyze meal photos through server-side AI food analysis, provide recommendations and reminders, enforce feature limits, manage purchases and subscriptions, send verification emails and optional notifications, improve reliability and security, respond to support requests, and comply with legal obligations.

4. Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We may share data only with service providers listed in this policy, when you choose to use authentication, AI analysis, notification, email, or subscription features, when required by law, to protect users or MyBentox, or with your consent.
5. Health and Nutrition Information
MyBentox processes nutrition, meal, weight, step, and activity data to provide calorie tracking and wellness features. MyBentox is not a medical device and does not provide medical diagnosis, treatment, or professional medical advice.
6. Data Storage and Retention
Your account and app data are stored using Firebase services. We retain your information while your account is active or as needed to provide the app. When you delete your account, MyBentox deletes your Firebase user data, including the primary user document and known user subcollections such as meals, saved recipes, recipe views, custom recipes, scan history, and activity logs. Known meal and profile images are also deleted from Firebase Storage on a best-effort basis.
Some limited records may be retained when required for legal, fraud prevention, security, tax, accounting, dispute, or platform compliance purposes.
7. Account and Data Deletion
You can request account deletion from inside the app by opening MyBentox, going to the Profile screen, choosing Delete Account, and confirming the deletion prompts. For security reasons, Firebase may require you to sign in again before account deletion can be completed.

8. Your Choices and Rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, object to processing, withdraw optional consent, or request a portable copy of your data. Contact info@mybentox.com to exercise these rights.
9. Children's Privacy
MyBentox is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us so we can review and delete it where appropriate.
10. International Data Processing
Your information may be processed and stored in countries other than your country of residence, including countries where Firebase, Google, RevenueCat, Resend, Expo, or their infrastructure providers operate.
11. Security
We use Firebase security rules, authenticated access controls, HTTPS/TLS transport, Firebase App Check, and provider-level security measures to protect user data. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the Last updated date and may provide additional notice in the app or by email where appropriate.
